Raegan helps her students not only master the fundamentals of piano and vocal music but also discover how to make music a personal and creative outlet. By connecting music to what students enjoy and relate to, she makes learning fun, exciting, and inspiring—encouraging them to explore new and diverse pieces.
Her teaching journey began back in high school in Bozeman, Montana, when she taught a couple of young students. After a break, she resumed teaching piano in Lacey in 2010 and later added vocal coaching to her offerings. Today, Raegan teaches in her welcoming in-home studio, working with 25–32 students ranging from kindergartners to adults. Raegan works hard to meet each student where they’re at—supporting their individual pace and learning style—while also encouraging them to take on challenges that help them grow. She uses off-the-bench activities to strengthen theory and technique concepts in an engaging and hands-on way. New this summer, Raegan is excited to offer themed music camps that give students a fresh and fun way to dive into rhythm, composition, and creativity. Whether in weekly lessons or at camp, her ultimate goal is to lead students toward a lifelong passion for making music. |
